    carbon covert 110

    Hi peeps,
Waiting for my new carbon covert to arrive and in the meantime, sourcing for parts.

Would like to run 110 setup with 32 front and 11-36 rear.
Now the issue is with the crankset.
Considering xtr m985 or truvativ xx
Given that the frame uses a pf30 bb.
How can I go along with this?
Leaning towards the xx crank with mrp bling rings and a sram pf30 ceramic bb
    Is this possible?

    Thanks heaps!

If you want to run the MRP Bling Ring, you'd need to choose the XO crankset with 30mm spindle. XX does not have removable spider, but the XO does. The XO/30bb version with Bling Ring and pf30 ceramic bb combo would definitely work and be a great setup.

How abt the x0 dh cranks?
However noticed that they only have it in 165 mm pf30 in 83mm....
Alternative will be the x0 2x10 and convert to 1x10 via the bling rings
Am I rite to say that?

Prefer the 170mm crank arms thou

    Thanks

Read this thread about Press-Fit applications and using Bling Rings. Good info.

This is from Noah at MRP:

"The Bling Ring is not compatible with aftermarket BB30 cranks. It works with all GXP (stepped 24mm spindle) SRAM cranks with the splined, interchangeable spider interface. According to some user reports, it also works with some OEM BB30 cranks - but we haven't figured out exactly which ones, how, or why..."

My bad and all apologies. Looks like you'd have to get pf30 adapters that allow you to run the gxp version crankset if you really want the bling ring.

Read in sone forums that its quute hit n miss for the pf30 bb bling rings. Might just giv it a shot and if it fit good if not...will just go with the usual setup...think no one have tried this yet...

Looks like the easiest way is to get an adaptor to convert the pf30 to gxp bb for to for the bling rings

For sure. Sram makes a PF30 to threaded bb adaptor for around $40. You could still run a bb with the ceramic bearings (Chris King ceramic, Sram Black Box gxp ceramic, etc) and be able to run the Bling Ring with the XO crankset.

Sounds like you're starting to get into the monetary area where the XX1 drive train should be considered. Worth a thought when you're spending that much anyways, would be able to run a larger chainring as well I believe.
