Bandit frame on the way - steerer length?

Just confirmed a large Bandit and looking to pick up a used 36RC2, Lyrik, or HLR. Can anybody help me out with steerer tube length?

I've found a good deal on a RC2 that can be lowered, but steerer is 7.5". Anybody know if that's gonna be long enough?

    Thanks!

    Large headtube length is 145mm, a CC40 44 upper cup stack height is 8mm, CC40 ZS56 lower cup is 4mm, so 157mm.

A Thomson X4 stem stack height is 41mm, so even with no spacers on top or below it, you're at 198mm, or 7.8".

    So no.

A little late, but a Syntace Megaforce2 has a minimum insert of 30mm - Over .4" less required than Thomson.
    I've got a bike
You can ride it if you like
It's got a basket, a bell that rings
and things to make it look good . . .

Thanks. Build is still in progress. Sniped some good stuff off eBay, and got my 36RC2 off pinkbike. Plus I can't sleep. So I'll post what I've got so far and what the plan is. It's hot as fudge on a Sunday here in tx. Therefore no rush to finish. Just BMX trail boss'N till it happens.

    Bandit , L, platinum w/142 backdoor
    Fox 36rc2 dropping to 140
    *Cane creek HSet, 0 stack
    *60mm stem
    *15-20mm risers @ 28" w
    Reverb 125mm
*taint pocket saddle of some sort
    *Xx1 or X01
    *XT Trail pedals
DT 240's, dt x400's, dt comp spokes (140 off eBay )
    *Dhf 2.3 front, ikon2.2r
    XO trail brakes

Looking forward to getting it finished- prolly replace rims w/ flow ex drilled out. Gonna be a fun bike!
