    Other resources?

What are some other good places to glean trail building ideas & info than this forum?

Also is the IMBA building book a good read?

    Thanks in advance.

    Forest Service link:

Yes it is a good read, and supports a good cause.

Yes the IMBA book is a great place to start and I even found things I never knew before. The best way to gain knowledge on this topic is to join a local club and help out on thier work days.

If imba still sells it, get "Lightly on the Land" too. I found it better for ideas than the imba book.

I'm a big fan of the books already mentioned (USFS pocket guide and IMBA Trail Solutions). I also believe that Natural Surface Trails by Design is well worth the read.

This forum is worth a look too. It's really area specific but some great resources nonetheless.
