The definitive urban or community bike skills and recreation site thread.
I'm a few weeks away for a next step toward a community bike recreation site - pump track and bike skills construction. I am aware of the Seattle I 5 Colonnade, Plainfield, IL pump track, and efforts and parks in Boise and Rapid City. Could you please post names, links, sites and photos for both ideas and having a general synopsis?
I hope this makes sense - pump track, jumps, TTFs and construction confined to a rather small area and not a trail network.
My first meeting for exposing the concept to the community and beyond land managers is tomorrow, my date for the appropriate planning committee is in a few weeks, and I'll be taking city officials to the private trail system of a bicycle firm in a few weeks where they will see a pump track, dirt jump and technical trail features.
Thank you any insights as to what other communities are up to or have done.
In Boise check out:

No website for the willow lane jump park.

Also, check out the Burns Lake Mountain Bike Park in Burns Lake, BC, Canada. I helped Mark Schmidt of IMBA Canada and Jay Hoots from www.hoots.ca design and build some of the park. You'll also find some cool stuff on Jay's site.
