Building a trail in Sandy Soils

I live in a very sandy place where there aren't a lot of mountain bikers. Theres a place on the edge of town where a lot of 4x4's and Motorcycles go play around. I was thinking that I could easily put a few mile of mountain bike trails in, but even if the motorcycles stay off I'm not sure it won't be too sandy for a trail.

    Any suggestions?

I live in Bishop CA, so think of Mammoth, but looser.
