    Backyard MTB Course

I am looking to build a short course in the woods behind my house. I have plenty of ups and downs and a few level spots.

I'd like to build a fun little course with some jumps and other obstacles. Any suggestions on layout or resources on how to build this stuff?

Get IMBA's Trail Solutions book. Follow the recommendations made, while incorporating fun things into the trail. Use your imagination. Have fun.

pace out a trail that uses some of the landscape's contours.

    some skinnies.

some small/easy launch ramps you can move around to experiment with.

    some log-pile style table tops.

some slant walls if you have a budget for lumber:

some dirt jumps. start out with them low/mellow, with around 8-10 feet lip-to-landing. then gradually build taller.

I kneed ideas for my new trail PLEASE help!!!
