need a little help here...

i need to pull a brake stud out of an easton ec70 carbon fork, in order to adjust the positioning of the pin plate behind it. having some problems though. i have pulled the fork from the frame, tried tapping it with a metal object, mild heat with a soldering iron, and some light use of a bench vise, to no avail. i'm a little leary of pouring on the heat, as i'm afraid the bond between the cf and the threaded insert will let loose before the brake stud will. any body know if pb blaster plays nice with carbon?

fixed.

brake bosses thread into what appears to be an aluminum threaded insert. light application of pb blaster/one hour with the dog and frisbee/light tapping/brake boss in a four inch bench vise=success
