    Stripped allen key

So I was trying to take the screws off the adjusters on my 888 so i could get to the internals. They're making a knocking noise during the first inch of compression. most likely a spring issue. ANYHOW, both screws have the heads stripped out and i can't get anything to grip. I've tried hammering a torx into it but to no avail. I don't have a dremel and they look like they are too recessed for that to work anyhow. The last thing I can think of is to jb weld an allen key/torx into the hole and get them out that way. Anyone have any other ideas?

Yes. They make screw/bolt removers for this; they work well.

The two other things that have served me well are: Jam a Torx bit in (which you said didn't work), and get a left-handed drill bit and (gently) run it in with the drill in reverse.

Search google for "ez out" or your local hardware store should have something similar. Also referred to as an extractor

If you are going to try and drill before putting and extractor in, without a doubt use a left-hand drill.

PS. Those bolts may have been loctited. You can use a high wattage soldering pencil to get in there (or a woodburning craft tool). You will know that you got it hot enough when you catch a whiff that sweet loctite smell.

Do yourself a favor and find a local machine shop and take it there. They'll do it correctly and you will probably be happier in the long run.
