    Spring in Bontrager one-bolt seatpost

    Hello all:

I was just installing a new saddle onto a Bontrager RXL seatpost. When I disassembled the seatpost head I found that the spring inside was broken. Other than convenience this seems like something I can live without.

Anyone have knowledge, experience, or opinion (preferably in that order!).

    Thanks, much, Steve.

It's not a structural part so it won't hurt much to do without it. However you could find a replacement at a hardware store fairly easily.
