Spoke length calculator?
I've got to calculate some odd spoke lengths. IE. 1950ish Schwinn rim to a multi-geared modern hub (nexus?). Back in the day we used a Wheelsmith spoke calculator; Enter- rim dia., hub dia., center-to-flange,...
Is there a modern, on line, version of this? Do I need to find a good LBS that can make these calculations? Is there an on-line retailer that will sell small batch, odd spoke lengths? I've got a spoke cutter/threader and have built hundreds of wheels but, cutting and threading 36 spokes sucks, just looking for an easier way.
There are a number of online calculators still:
Spoke length calculator for calculating spokelengths
Edd, an easy to use spoke length calculator
There are also others if you do a google search for spoke calculator. The 2nd last one above also calculates spoke offset, although the site's a bit clunky and you need to play around with the back button and refreshing at times.
