Should I remove rotors before shipping a bike?

I'm leaning towards yes since they're so bendable, but wanted to see if there's a consensus. I'm using a cardboard bike box not a case.

    Thanks for the help.

FWIW, most manufactured bikes that I have dealt with arrive in stores with wheels that have the Rotors installed. That said, I'd hit up your Bike Shop to see if they have the plastic wheel protectors to use in your shipping. Usually a 4-5" plastic piece that mounts at the hub to put any side pressure on the hub.

Most bikes do come with rotors installed from the factory. It doesn't take long to take them off so I would take them off just as preventative maintenance. A bike company can warranty a rotor if it was bent during shipping, but you cannot, and (reason for OP shipping bike unknown at this point) say you're selling the bike to somebody across the country, they wouldn't be too happy about having to buy a new rotor when they get the bike.

I like to take them off just to make packaging the bike easier.

I like to take them off since bent rotors are a pain the in rear.
