Rotor Rubbing, but only when I am on the Bike...???

    Hi,
My rear rotor rubs a bit , which makes an annoying squealing noise, but it only does it when I am on the bike and coasting. it will not do it on the repair stand, and it does not make the noise when pedaling. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

    thanks
    matt

Is this a new problem that has recently manifested or is it something that has happened during the life of the bike? Off the top of my head it could be flex that is causing it, or it could be a loose quick release or a broken rear axle.

Something is probably loose, could be anything from the skewer to a suspension pivot.

loose rear hub bearing would be my first guess... but all the above the guys have stated are possible.
