    Park TM-1 lubrication?

as best as I can remember my park TM-1 has always been squeaky- so I put a drop of white lightning in the spring. squeak is gone but the readings have dropped about 1 unit on the scale. the instructions don't mention anything about lube. I would think lightly lubed would be preferable to slightly sticky (and squeaking). I put the drop where the spring is coiled around the pin. thoughts?

I've always been more concerned with uniform readings vs. a particular number. I'd say you're good to go.

agreed- so the lube could make for more consistent readings over time.
