My $50 Harbor Freight hitch rack.....

I've been procrastinating building this rack forever as it's for a project Trooper I purchased. It only took a couple of hours and few pieces of re-bar that I had sitting around. The rack actually works really well, simply place the bike between the carrier rails, run a ratcheting strap over the top tube, run the strap through your beer cooler handle and tighten. The only thing missing is a joint to swivel the rack down....oh well. Maybe this will help someone else that doesn't want to spend $300-$400 on a rack. Later, Jeff

P.S.-I know the rack is on a tractor, it was just easier to slap it on there for the pictures. Thx

Aloha, that's awesome. I've been thinking about doing this for years. I just never really needed it yet as I use my truck. I know there'll be a day I need to take the SUV instead and have said many times I don't like spending all that $$ on those hitch racks. Great job!!

Is the tractor an 8-N? We had one for years. Dad finally got something with live PTO. But other than that a great little tractor. It looks like you are taking good care of it.

Good job on the rack too BTW

That's a whole lot of fun space to ride in the background. I'm just a city dweller dreaming of weekends when I can explore the countryside and ride my legs out.

PS: Nice tractor and great job on your bike rack mod/build.
