Lezyne alloy floor drive pump - is my gauge broken?

    Hi,

Just got a new pump floor pump for my bike, first floor pump I've ever bought.

I just tried to test it out and the gauge does not seem to be working properly.

Air is going into the tires but every time I push down on the pump it goes up a bit and then goes back to 0. the dial never stays up...

Am I doing something wrong? Is this a sign that the gauge is bad?

    Thanks

are you sure air is going in the tires? anyways it does sound broken or the seal between the pump head and valve is not good

Ya air is definitely going into the tire. I even tried it on a spare tube and a basketball. Gage goes up when you push down but then goes right back down to 0. Doesn't stay up...so you have no way of knowing what current pressure is.

Problem solved. Not sure what the problem was in the first place but I put the pump aside for 20 min...came back...started pumping...at first it still didn't work and then it kicked in and started going...I think maybe when the pressure is really low it doesn't record anything on the gauge...
