On my last ride broke 7 spokes. I bent them around other spokes so they wouldn't catch on anything. Am I better taking tie wraps along in case this happens again so I can just secure them to other good spokes or would something like a leatherman tool cut through the spokes?
Bending them around other spokes is fine. If you have an ongoing spoke-breakage problem, your wheel's due to be replaced with a wheel that has high-quality spokes (DT or Wheelsmith), because it's not normal to break spokes on a ride, especially not several per ride.
