What to use to lube the chain, thanks
Do a search on the forums. This has been asked a million times and there's half that many threads on here on that very question. Everyone has an opinion and you are likely to get as many answers as there are lubes available.

Mtn biking step #44; Pick a chain lube and be a dick about it.
Like Cleared said many threads on this read through them. There are almost infinite choices out there and most cater to specific needs; wet enviro, dry, dirty, mix, clean, long lasting, enviro friendly, ect... so figure out what your needs are and maybe you can have a short quick thread. Be warned you still may get people who adhere to step #44. Generally, choosing a chain lube is like choosing a bike you may need to ride/try a few before you find the perfect one for you. To tell you the truth I have tried them all and have given up on the demo rides. I just buy the cheapest one i've found that works ok, Dupont Chain Saver from either Walmart or Lowes.
Whichever you choose, keep your chain clean and only lube when it starts screaming in pain (this may be mid ride depending on your choice).
