    Bearings? Vibration?

For some reason when I pedal hard I get this vibration like I'm riding over a rough road, but even when I'm on a smooth road. Why?

Worn drivetrain parts, especially unevenly worn parts (e.g. new chain/old rings) can cause that sensation.

It shouldn't be the rings. I did replace the chain and the cassette though, but I had this problem with the old ones too. I can't believe that he rings would already be worn. They're only a year old.

On that note, do Connex chains just shift bad compared to Shimano chains? Maybe I just need to adjust the derailleur. Didn't do that after changing the chain and cassette.

And how do you tell which parts are worn?

How do you tell though? It's not the rings. I can't get the chain past the teeth on them. Although the smaller one seems to let the chain rise higher I'm betting that's more of an issue with it being a smaller ring than it having more wear.

Also, what are some good bottom brackets for Shimano cranks? I need one that is very resistant to weather.

Does the crank have the same feel without the chain on it? If you want weather resistant, then buy a Chris King, and get the injector tool, and pump them with grease every time you ride. What type of weather do you ride in?

Don't know if it's the water or the dirt or even the BB yet.
