    arbor press

Thinking about a small arbor press for the shop a 1 ton or 1/2 ton. Those who have and use them-list everything that you do with them. My list is short-Xfusion fork travel change......if I find 5 uses,I can justify one!

i do not see a arbor press being useful in a bike shop. for wheels/hubs there is not enough throat depth to fit a built wheel. i can see shock bushings.

shock bushings....there is 2! True about the hub/wheel. The ones I'm looking at do less than 5in. Maybe bottom brackets-rig something to press out/in bearings. I mostly need it for Xfusion forks. They say easy travel change....but have a pin that needs a press to work. So that's 3....2 more,LOL! I just like tools!

I use a cheap harbor freight arbor press for the suspension bearings on my Cannondale.
