    1.5 steerer fork question

Sorry, if this is the wrong section. I would like to know if there is an adapter available to use a 1.5 to 1 1/8 taper fork on a straight 1.5 steerer tube such as the one on my Cannondale. I need to find a replacement for the spongy rst deuce that came on the bike. Logic tells me that since I am reducing the size of a portion there should be an easy way to do this. Thanks

Yes, there are various companies that make adapters and headsets to fit your need. Problem Solvers has all kinds of adapters, Chris King has their De-evolution headset and parts that will adapt your straight 1.5 head tube to a tapered steerer tube.

A couple good sites to find what you need are Chris King CHRIS KING HEADSETS | Chris King Precision Components

And Aspire Velotech, just contact them, you can get the right mix of parts to make it work.

Of course there are other companies like Cane Creek that will be able to put the pieces together.

Good luck with that, chime back and let us know what you find.
