    Where are all the Switchblades

I had an 02 swithcblade with the long travel rockers and sold it about a year ago. I thought I wanted a more race oriented ride and bought an 06 Racer X. Great bike but I really miss the feel and the cush of my SB. I want it back. I've been looking around for a nice used one but not having much luck. I generally look on ebay or the classifieds here on mtbr, but rarely see them for sale. Any ideas on other places to look for one? Anyone have one laying around collecting dust?

Mojo... You've just been unlucky... There has been a few SB's for sale. There were some on ebay that went unsold, aking price was in the order of 700 bucks, they looked nice but were 2002, I think. I had mine up for sale in Mexico a while ago... but never got a decent or serious offer.

I've came to think no one will offer what my frame is worth, so I decided to keep it.

Man, these things are addictive. 2004 here. Mine is one of the TALAS frames that use a 7.875" X 2". My rockers are 5" travel.

Maybe try to find a MotoLite instead. I think you would be better off.

Yup... like a SB but a bit better.

They're going relatively cheap too... Just yesterday (or day before yesterday) there was an auction for a 2006 one that was around 500 and something with a couple hours to go.

once titus obsoletes a bike and replaces it with a new model: that is your signal to throw it away and buy the newer better bike.

Spanish motorcycle brand... kind of a Cult there...

The 12+1 is Angel Nieto... 13 times world champion in 50cc's and I guess 80cc's category. But he's very superstitious and never mentions that he has 13 championships... everybody calls him the 12+1 to avoid naming him with the 13.

    Yeah, cool avatar!!

I had an official "bultaco" mini bike when I was a kid. not a real motorcycle,, It had lawnmower motor, 8 or 10 inch wheels... my dad was into Maicos. so when I saw that he snapped it up.

    My sad Blade

My 02 Blade is so lonely It's been sitting up on the garage wall since who knows when. A couple parts have been stripped off to keep the Motolite running (stem, cassette, front brake is off for some reason). Right now I am just riding my butt off and working. I think sometime in the future I will get it up and running but for now it just hangs there

I've been looking at MLs as well. I've never ridden one so I was leaning towards another SB since I am familiar with them. What is "better" aboout an ML compared to the SB?

Hydroformed tubes creates a larger interface for the joints, uninterrupted seattube, better tire clearance, lighter weight, newer, and cleaner looks. The only down side is fewer size options for taller riders.
