    HEY!! Congratulations!!!
Now your life came to full cirlce, a nice wife, Colnago, Exogrid, and now this beauty!
I did like your report about the business side.
I think it must be good to have a daughter. All men want boys , but fathers and daughters have much better relationship at the end in most cases I know.
I have to start working on one, too.

    Bienvenida Mia Beatrice!

Awesome news man! Many blessings to your family! It would be hard to top this!

How small can Titus make an Exo ML? Is there ultra-baby-small?

    Anyway... congrats,
    Cris

    Wow!!

She's a real beauty... I'm only writing this after I could separate Mrs. Warp off the screen! (Deep inside, she wants a girl)

Nice weight and size also! Looks plenty of healthy.

    Cool, bro!

Now, we gotta start pushing Titus to make Exo-Grid trikes!!!

Hi All. Thank you for your wonderful comments, means a lot to me.

Few replies, yes first baby, stoked to have a girl, wanted either as long as the baby had 2 arms and 2 legs etc.

Freaks me out how she does similar things to me, she sleeps the same with bith her arms out in front, amazing. Sorry fella's am a little, well ya know, baby struck. Those that have little ones will know. Those that havnt, be scared, it creeps up and happens real fast. Maw ha ha ha.

Well am thinking Mia's legs may well be exogrid, they are real long and thin, like her dads.

Yeah, those of you who have children, have to be straight up here, as you know I am. How long did it take you not to be phased by the business end, Phew. Was amazing, truly mind blowing.....

Two more shots, taken around an hour ago. Cannot stop steering at her.

If you mean your wife's business end? I wasn't allowed there (my wife's not yours! ) for about 2 months, I never thought blue balls was an actual medical condition until then!

Congratulations, mate! She's a real cutie! You've definitely held up your end lately, what with the bling pics and the cute baby alert. The rest of us had better get cracking!

Funny ... we're expecting our first (a girl) in January, and Mia is one of the names we discussed. Guess it's off the list, though: wouldn't want to be perceived a copy-cat. What a great name!

Good on ya. The headless horsemen will need to get a junior t-shirt printed for the new addition - are you sure you don't want to join us for the 12 hour in Taupo. We need someone to improve the average speed of the team?

    Congrats Whafe! She's beautiful!

For sure, child birth is one amazing scary experience.
I am glad to be a man.

You have so much to look forward to! We've gotten our 22-month old daughter out camping several times this summer, just got back from a weekend trip tonight. It's amazing to watch them grow. Make sure to plan on getting one of those kelty baby back-pack things at about 1 year. You'll be able to hike all you want, she'll love it too. great bonding experience to share your appreciation for nature with her.

    Stoked for you man....

you will notice that it will take quite a while before Mrs has recovered (hormones, body, mind) from whole pregnancy and birth... it will be emotional roller coaster for both of you some time now.
My son (first kid) is now 14 months old and while he is truly lovely kid I'm kinda getting tired with those damn nappies and their contents. The smell from solid foods poo is
While it's pretty hard to go leave baby&mom for any length of time it is possible to ride quite a lot during first few months if you have someone to help mom & kid since both will sleep most of they day anyway. It's after that baby starts to move when you really need to be there...
Sleep might be the only thing I miss from our DINK days.

Well it IS quite a life changing event, so we FORGIVE you for not posting a review of the pushed RP23, I received my 575 frame last friday and the RP23 looks sweet, but I haven't ridden it yet (waiting for a detail -MC not locking- to be fixed on the Pike)

Back to your family, how long will they remain in the hospital? couple more days? As Warp suggested you should start inquiring Titus about those trikes

    Cheers,
    Cris

    Congrats!

It's all right to sound baby-struck, even on an MTB-related message board! Kids are a great change in your life, especially your first.

For all the time in your life you've probably spent wondering how parents of a newborn could be so enthralled with every little thing the baby does when you think "Gee, it doesn't do much, why so exciting?" - you're going to be the same way now. I was, heck, I still am - my girl's 1.5 yrs now and whenever she walks out into the garage and says "Biiiiiiiike?" I'm thrilled!

They don't come out with an instruction and repair manual (no adjustment diagrams or what lube goes where photos). I'm sure you won't ride as much as you did before, but its very much worth the frustration, long stares at dusty bikes in the garage and the never-ending diaper supply.

    Congrats again!

Congratulation! Beautiful kid you have there. Welcome to the world of parenthood.

Dam ScottN, you are so right, there is no intruction manual, no Park Tool repair manual like a bike. They are all so different, all the reading I have done made me realise that there is really no real right and wrong, for sure on some topics, but overall so many differing things to do.

I have 15 neices and nephews, thought it would blow me away like this, but having your own just is so much cooler. Yep, my dad should have kept it in his pants, too many sisters....

Well just burped Mia, man can she fart, takes after her dad, she was floatign the mean as air biscuits....

LOL... One of those days, being like 3mo, I was burping my son when he suddenly "exploded"!!

He burped, farted, pooed and puked at the same time... all in a single blow!

Damn... he just missed to leave out some snot....

Congratulation! Beautiful kid you have there. Welcome to the world of parenthood. If a few years you'll have one of these chasing you down the street.... (showing off kids is something that just goes with the territory)
Great stuff, dam, cant wait for Mia to carve it up on the trails, but chasing me down the street will be a great start....

It is not easy beign here in Spain with all our family in New Zealand, my partner is not likign this at all. Should get better, her mum arrives from NZ next week....

Well... not much different for me. Our closest relatives are 500km away, which you may think "it's pretty close". But in practice, it's the same as your family being half world away.

Your wife is equally alone when you're at work. If the kid is sick, you'd better pray for your wife do not get sick too. If you don't have someone you trust to babysit your kid, you're SOL. The wife has a hard time fiding a job (if she ever thinks about getting busy again, and she will), because daycare hours are generally the same or less than your or your wife's work hours.

All in all... it's difficult, especially for them as mothers to cope with this situation of having the family away.

Mini-Warp is now on vacations with my parents... which is cool, but not the same as having them in the same town or even state.

Thanks on the compliments for Mini-Warp!

Yep, sure is not easy, languagae barrier makes it hard also. Jillians mmum comes next week for 4 weeks, so that will help hugely. Yeah ha

So are you riding heaps with mini Warpo away?

Nope... I still have a job and I'm in kind of a hneymoon with the wife. I have no heart to leave her alone on sundays.

Also, you can say this is my "off-season". Weather by winter is actually better than now. Now it's all rainy and muddy around here. By autumn, trails dry up and temperatures become cool... best riding season here is from October thru June... off season because of rains from June to September.

Basically we can ride almost all year in one layer of clothes.

Not making excuses... but I don't have a car also. Trailhead is 10 miles away. So no chance for a quick ride!

I used to ride by nights before coming to this city... but I don't feel confident riding at night here with my "megabucks" bike.

Great shot ScottN, she is happy land for sure. So good, they are happy as with a Wal Mart bike at that age. The materalistic phase doesnt come for years yet, I hope anyway... Awesome....
