Well, adding a 29er to the stable

Well, I've been wanting to get a 29er for a while now just to see what I think. Backcountry.com outlet has a few 29er RX's at 850 bucks shipped - so what the heck. It's a size small, but the RX is big as we all know with a 23.25 inch TT.

I'd been kicking around a Pivot 429, or a Niner but for 850 bucks, just too hard to pass up.

I'll be going with a 20mm or 15mm fork up front... or possibly a lefty. But I'll need to go through the parts bin to see what I can recycle.

30.9 seatpost, what is the f.der size?

Any thoughts out there on how the various offsets work fork wise. I figure on the small I should run a 80-90mm fork, but would love input on the offsets folks are using.

    Yup

Ti ML is still in the fleet for now.

Though, everyone tells me once I've been on the 29er I'll send up selling it. Who knows. I no longer sell my old bike until I use the new one a few times to see what I think.

I think you need a 34.9mm top-swing, dual-pull front derailleur. I have a Medium and use a 100mm Reba Team 20mm with around a 45mm offset. It steers quickly enough. You will probably like the bike quite a bit. I may end up asking PUSH to tune the shock. I have owned mine since late last season. It is my smooth-trail and shorter-ride 29er. Anything past 4-5 hrs and rough trails, I always take the Sultan. It remains to be seen if the Titus will stay past this season but for now, I'm keeping it.
