    Replaceable Carbon Downtubes

Does anyone know how the new RX down tube is "replaceable"? The Titus website claims it is a method to "protect your investment", but I am wondering how this all works.

there is a plate that you mount on the bottom for the frame. they got some three letter acronym for it.. like PUD or something.

RUB. Replaceable Under Belly. Aluminum plate that attatches to your carbon down tube. Only on the Carbon R-X though, from what I know.

You can get something similar for other frames though:

Not a bad idea if you ride in loose rocks.
