Ordered a ML, but not so sure about frok.

Hello everybody. I jus ordered a ML. Its coming in november. I have more or less finalised the build expect the fork. I have been thinking about the U-turn air RS revelation and pike. The pike seems it can take more beating but the revelation has the quick release. Could someone who has used the Revelation or the Pike on their bikes tell me how it performs on the trails. Also, what front hub do you use with your Pike?

    Thanks in advance
    Bob

    Hi Bob,

I've had RS Rev 426's on my ML for about 4 months and I think they are superb. I'm a lightweight and they are plenty stiff enough without the need for a bolt-thru axle. I've left my options open for future upgrade (?) to Pikes by using Hope Pro II hubs (they convert to 20mm axle from q/r). The Pike has 10mm more travel over the Rev, but I'm not sure I'd use that as I run mine at 120mm most of the time, though 130 is nice to have on more technical ground. Both forks have the same range of adjustments (+ and - pressure to get the "feel" right, rebound, travel, compression/lockout/floodgate). Pike is heavier than Rev by about .8 lbs (like for like), so may be less likely to lift up. Either would be a good choice for the ML.
