    Monarch RT3

Posted in suspension forum also. Titus FTM carbon. RT3 with a L L tune, does not use all the travel. 75/80% I run 30% sag, the valving feels fine, just there is more travel there that I am not using. Frame came from Titus with the RT3. Any ideas?

Not sure about the FTM but my carbon Rockstar has a 7 7/8"x 2" stroke shock, however there is about 2 1/2" of shaft showing, it just doesnt use the entire length. How much is it using? One way you can tell is let all the air out and compress it all the way, if it stops short of the end of the shaft then this is the case. Saying you only use 75-80% of the stroke, sounds like this is the case.

I know what you are saying Craig. Yea, when I release air from the can it cycles to about 1/2" from the end. But riding hard it only cycles to about 1" from the bottom out point. I dropped the IFP from 250 to 200 lbs and while it did help I don't want to lower it further. The air can is pressured to 190. Thinking of going to a HV air can, but can't find on net. Will check with lbs. Thankx Craig. TR

Are there any shims or anything inside the can now that are removable? We used to have the same problem on the RP23 HV can on the El Guapos and we used plastic to shim down the volume. I can't remember what the inside of a monarch looks like.

no shims or bands. there are 271 posts in this tread Rockshox Monarch RT3 Shim Stack talk about confusing. there is not that much inside one of these shocks, but the tuning geeks and they're foreign valving language sure make it confusing. Thankx Craig
