I have an "X" bike with the newly designed dropout/replaceable hanger seatstay (the replaceable hanger is now the same as the Racer X's, but the Horst seems placed a little lower towards the ground than the Racer X's). Earlier "X" models had different dropout/hanger designs. The problem is my nonshadow XTR rear derailleur starts hitting the the Horst as early as 6th gear on the cassette (9 speed) when I am shifting higher (in fact it is really close to hitting in 5th gear WHILE NOT RIDING, but its not quite touching). I have ridden Horst designs in the past (non-Titus) and the derailleur would hit in 9th (maybe 8th), but 5th/6th seems a little freaky.
Did Titus make this bike to be ridden with only Shadow derailleurs (which I have not tried yet)? I am a little worried about this bike. Any experiences???? Maybe help....
