Great Titus Dealer - bought a Motolite

It's hard buying a custom Titus on a tight budget (no pun intended). Anyone who's built up a bike knows that it's easy to blow your budget or end up with a "not exactly" situation. It's also not that easy to find a dealer willing to deal with "the guy who's trying to make something work", as some would rather deal with the person who walks in and plops-down many $Gs as if nothing out of the ordinary.

So, where do we go? . . . Well, thank goodness there's Bikerbob.

Why? For me it came down to this: Bob's interest was to get me on the right setup within my budget rather than try to sell me something that I couldn't afford, regret buying later or I didn't want. That meant patiently working on the trade-offs without unreasonably compromising the level of any component. His focus on the Customer, fairness and down to earth view got me a Motolite within my reach and is a solid setup with a lot of bang for the buck. I truly felt that he was an honest partner in the process.

I've found Bikerbob's prices to be competitive or even better than "internet" prices so whether you are building a full bike or simply need a component you'll be likely to spend the same or less with Bob than if you scoured the internet for 'blowouts' 'hot deal's etc, ... and get vastly better service and help keep a small bike shop running.

    Thanks Bob

    another vote for Bikerbob!

he is great to work with, his pricing is excellent, and he really puts up with all the strange out of the blue requests I throw at him. I've gotten a motolite and el guapo from him as well as a parts kit for my newest project. Highly recommended and he will always do his best to make sure you are happy and satisfied.

Another vote for Bob, he does a great job putting a good bike together. Bob is not about the price (although he is very good!) but rather on the experience and spec. He really knows how to put together a bike for you. Highly recommended.

    Biker Bob is THE MAN!

I concur with all above, after becoming a Titus convert with a s/h Racer-X I was looking around for a Motolite or ML1 to experiment with some different geometry.

After much trawling the net I stumbled upon Mr B Bob, I sent an email......
    BANG! A reply!
I like good service but was not expecting a reply so soon, sent another... BANG, replied straight away.
Needless to say, after about six squillion more emails back and forth I settled (under the guidance of BB) with a Med ML in Custom White and a bunch of other goodies to make it pop (which it does!).

It's built now and I've gotta say it's better in the flesh than any picture could do it justice

I'm majorly stoked with both the service and the deal I received (inc the freight cost, very reasonable) from Bob.

Big thanks to Bob, may gravity always be on your side (not that it matters on a Titus : )

Bob's paying me to say this....

Gotta call Bob. I haven't yet been disappointed.
I've lost track of all the friends/friends of friends who I have sent to Bob to look over bike options. Not one has called me back saying they found a better price or better customer service. He is great about getting the bike you want. Custom build or package deal--whatever. In the past, I would recommend my friends to call all the Titus dealers and find demos in order to save some money, but Bobs prices allow to buy new for the same $! I'm a big racer-x/racer-x29er fan and in the past I would scour the web all the time to find bikes for buddies, but now I have confidence to just give them Bob's # and he will hook them up. Again, price isn't everything, but put that together with customer service ie. product knowledge, flexible build kits for wallet sizes, communication most hours of the day or night--one stop shopping!
Give him a call and get yours today! (and tell him I sent you--I'll get some titus socks or such! )

    2 cents on Bikerbob

***quick update***ridden on both coasts now, Seattle and New England - just got back from the kingdom trails. the Stan's were great for climbing and hung the downhilling, root fest. thanks again Bob.

Need to add my 2 cents...

Trawling the net for a demo special, I happened to email Bob on a Sunday morning to ask about a deal (~715 am). About 2 minutes later a response came back. Later that day we discussed my needs. After 100 emails where he both indulged my different requests and educated me on the various choices pro/cons, I settled on a blue Med Motolite. The price? Better than anywhere else with a better custom build. I ended up with something I am happy with at a price well below anywhere else I could have purchased it. Further, I couldn't get a different boutique brand with this quality and these components for anything less than 1K more!

Bob also helped me sort through the issue of choosing the right size and sent me different size items to ensure I got the right fit. He knows his products.

When I add a FS XC rig to my quiver or a hardtail 29er it will be a titus and I will buy it from Bob.

I should have known to go straight to him as my brother in law bought from him a couple of years back with the same experience I had.
