    Goodbye Racer X

Packed and shipped my 2009 26er RX today and am now sitting here drinking beer wishing I hadn't sold it. I miss it already. Just moved on to longer travel bikes and needed cash for another part for my latest. It had been hanging in the shop for a while after buying a 6 in bike in November of last year, I took it out 2 weeks ago and realized it needed a new BB. That started a thought of do I need this bike? I'll quit whining and just say it was a blast for a while. One of the best pedaling bikes ever and def the best I had ever owned. It loved fast single track. I sold the frame to a good home and threw the left over parts on another frame with 5 in travel for a beater bike. I should have just left it hanging and rode it on those "I feel like driving the Ferrari" days! It def turned heads on the local trails. Did I mention it was fast.

I'm in the same boat, just sold my 2007 RacerX. Already miss it. I know that in 20 years time, this will be a collectors item, like the Yeti's of the 80's. Ah well...

I know your pain. Yesterday I boxed up my Racer-X Carbon and shipped it.

I just had too many bikes in my garage to keep it

"I just had too many bikes in my garage to keep it" Wish I could own a dozen myself but just not enough storage, money and riding time. Work and family come first. Thinking of selling my Speci XC Comp too and buying a hardtail 29er frame for those xc only days.

I will also miss my RX! I built it up and sold it to my friend. I'm sure he will enjoy the RX as much as I did.
