    El Guapo Progreso

Eventually this will be complete. I'm on a budget so I'm using some old and new parts. Photos and specs for those who give-two-poos.

    EG (large)
Saint 9sp RD and Shifter (no front)
    Dangerboy Stem
    Evolve XC Cranks
    Deus XS Post & Bars
Wheels (TBD, thinking Dave Thomas's Chris Kings or White Ind. with Velo rims)
Probably go SRAM PG-990 11/34 on cassette
    Kenda Small Block front (2.35)
    Rear tire TBD
    Avid Elixir R (TBD)
    Marzocchi AM1

Why don't you put the Kenda Small Block on the rear and get some real knobby for the front? BG or Nevegal 2.35 or 2.5 Stick-E.

    Where to ride

You're from Houston. Where will you take it for exercise?

I think the Kenda SB will work better on the front considering the local conditions (i.e. dry hard-packed single). I don't think it's ment as a rear only?

I have to deal with whats available, jack brooks, Terry Hershey, Memorial. I’m pretty sure this build will be well rounded. My previous ride was a GT LTS-1. Yes, a new build has been a LONG TIME coming. I have the GT setup for XC riding. My objective was to build something I can take to the mountains and still enjoy local. Also, I want something I can jump with confidence. I’ll fine tune as I go.

They are two 6x2's cut to size and notched. The notch is lined with cut-out from an extra thick tire tube. Simple stong and works well.
