    Downieville Classic XC

I raced the Downieville Classic XC for the first time on the carbon Rockstar, the bike performed admirably, no flats, no mechanicals, no crashes. I finished 4th in the 45-54 Cat 2. My time was 2:41:11 I was only two minutes out of second place. I was up to second place before I had to get off and stretch dual quad cramps on the last climb. Was so exhausted and my legs were so cramped that I had to lay down after the finish. Somebody was nice enough to pour a bucket of water on me while I layed on the ground. I'd say that is the toughest race I've done to date.

Congratulations on the fine placing @ Downieville Craig. It's a tough gig. Good to read the Rockstar preformed admirably for you too.

Good job Craig. Was it hard to score an entrance? I hear they sell out in a matter of minutes.

Are you going to interbike this year?

The all mountain spots sell out in minutes, that is the XC race saturday and the DH race sunday, there are only 200 of those. They have 800 XC race spots which they didnt sell out this year, I think there were about 600 or so XC racers plus the 200 all mountain guys. I only signed up for XC. I am going to Interbike with DSP again, looks like I will be there Sunday night and should have Monday free as the guys arent coming from Taiwan until Monday night. Want to hook up again?

Yeah, let's do. I'm also signed up for Outerbike so working on the hall pass for Interbike. 80% sure I'll be there for Monday at least.
