"Clunking" noise coming from rear suspension On Motolite

I have had my ML for about a year and a half. I ride mostly XC (aggressive) and occasionally through in a drop or two (3-5 feet). I noticed yesterday that when I lift the rear wheel and let it drop that there is some play in the area around where the lower part of the rear shock attaches to the bolt. What is causing this? Is it a worn bushing, etc..? Can this be fixed, and how do I do it?
    thanks for any insight

Take your shock off the bike. Take the shock into the LBS and have them replace your DU bushings. They are about $3 a piece and they can do it in less than 5 minutes.

    Go home and replace shock.

    Serve and enjoy.
