When do you ride El Paso?

I just moved to El Paso in the midst of the heat. Is riding season over here during the summer, or when do people usually ride? Morning, evening?

Not over... you just need to ride early or late. It's hard to get a long (3+ hours) unless you have lights. I recommend the westside in the morning. You can start around 5:30-5:45 and be in the shade until 7:00 plus or minus depending on the mountains' shadow. For the same reason the east trails are best in the afternoon. This 100+ run won't last too long. It will stay hot until September, but will be more tolerable.
Cloudcroft is a popular mid-summer escape.

Rim trail is great in Cloudcroft. As far as El Paso, as discussed above, early morning on the West side is the besttime. It is cool, and if you are riding early enough, you will be in the shade of the mountain, and when the sun starts to heat up you will likely be finishing a ride with a downhill back to the trailhead (which will have a cooling effect). The worst part is .....waking up.
