They will still get support from the bike community, i would hate to see the mechanics and what not loose thier jobs, not like lance was in thier wrenching.

    MJ's is doing fine...

Don't really see a reason for them to suffer.

We purchased a new bike for my wife there when things were ramping up for USADA's report release. Business was doing just fine.

It's a good shop, impressive inventory, excellent service, great location. They even offer showers and bike storage for folks that commute downtown.

I really like their coffee bar.

Note: I am in no-way affiliated with the place, so don't go hate'n on me.

BTW - the Mrs. and I are signed up the LiveStrong ride this weekend in Austin. We have friends who've been helped [a lot!] by that organization. Whatever one might say about LA, his cancer support organization is a good thing.

Yup on my road ride today---after the ride I had my livestrong cap on, and another had his Mellow Johnnys cap on. Cant hate on Lance even with his playing slightly outside the rule book.

"slightly"? it's official.... we now have the understatement of the decade.

irrespective of the lying/doping/cheating pile of yak excrement LA happens to be MJ's is simply a business interest and has no association with LS or his career of subterfuge (other than being funded by his ill-gotten gains). barring LA having to liquidate resultant to civil judgments against him it will most definitely survive.

Who cares if he was cheating.

    Breaking news: They all cheat!

Its more exciting that way anyway. I do not care at all.

As said, unless he has to liquidate, it won't be an issue...got my SC SL there and they are always busy and suspect they will stay that way.

    ^This.

People want to get high and mighty, but in reality no one wants to see a bore fest no-hitter baseball game - they want the Canseco's, Mcgwire's, Vaugn's, etc or non-geared up football players. Get real.

It is a nice shop/cafe and I hope they keep on rolling. But, it seems strange to continue to call the shop Mellow Johnny's since that is a play on Maillot Jaune, which basically means yellow jersey. Now that the yellow aspect is gone, maybe just call the shop Mellows. Or use the shop's cafe name, Juan Pelota, as the name for the whole bike shop. There seems to no dispute or controversy that LA has only one ball.

Im from out of state but i have visited mellow johnnys

Who evers bankrolling it i couldnt care- that is one awesome facility to have and should not be boycotted at all.

People in scotland have started asking me why im still wearing my livestrong top - they dont seem to be able to distinguish between lance and a cancer charity...... and hell even if it was an armstrong top id still wear it - he still worked hard. Only the nieve think cycling was ever clean back then !

I like the place, good vibe, super friendly staff. I was expecting prices to be jacked a bit, but right in line, and down right good for a brick and mortar place.

I'll sport me some more Mellow Johnny's Swiftwick Ones and Fours. I even picked up the Oakley gloves - haven't been a fan of Oakley anything, but liking the all black gloves.

Strange since LA is no longer the winner of any french yellow jerseys.

Yellow Jersey = Malliot Jaune. And Mellow Johnny's is a play on the pronunciation of Malliot Jaune.

If you have to explain it, it's just not funny.
