I had a blast riding Memorial, especially the concrete block bridge. You grabbed a worn pine, and when your stupid overruled your common sense you dropped a rather steep decline. The bridge was a series of blocks suspended by looped steel cable over a 10' deep gully approximately 15' wide. Speed was your friend - and Hermann Hospital's helicopter if you went too slow. Each side of the cable routed through the holes in the blocks. If you had the misfortune of leaving the blocks, you landed on river worn boulders of many sizes.
After that the helicopter and paramedics came to get you.
I am hoping someone has pics of this insanity – cause no one believes me.
