Need a San Antonio trail in NE area

I will be at the JW Marriott at 23808 Resort Parkway. This is a little NE of 281 and 1604. Can someone let me know if there is a decent trail close by that I can jump on for a couple hours while I step away from the family? Thanks.

EDIT: i think i've ridden salado creek before so if there is another one in the area, i'd like to try it

l live in the neighborhood over there and the closest to the hotel will be McAllister Park. Madrone trail is at canyon lake in the opposite direction. Before the golf courses went in there were jeep trails out there that I would explore, but there isn't any single track in that area.

I definitely would recommend Madrone trail at Canyon. Easy to follow with great views of the lake. McAlliser is a faster trail but a lot easier to get lost out there.
Also if you have the time check out Flat Rock Ranch up in Comfort up I10. Fantastic Views with great single track. $6 gets you in. It will close down at the end of this month for hunting season.

I think Mac would be your best bet. Not too far and enough trails to keep you busy for a few hours. Are you borrowing or renting a bike?

Never been to Madrone but Mac is mostly single track. It is confusing though. I'm headed out of town Sunday morning otherwise I'd talk you into coming to Leon Creek for a tour.
