    Lake Bryan Trail Status Source?

Does anyone have a good source for current trail status for Lake Bryan in case I pass through College Station again?

I was in College Station on Saturday. Leading up to the trip, I kept an eye on Brazos Valley Mountain Bike Association and weather site for recent rainfall totals. Recent rainfall showed less than .2 inches in the previous few days. I rode nearby Waco Friday and it was completely dry. Even the slower drying trails are listed as open. The Brazos website showed (and still shows) the trails as being closed. The website references a 6/3 meeting so it appears to be updated with some frequency.

Is that the best source for trail status? Does the trail actually take that long to dry out?

The trail dries quickly unless it's a pretty bad rain. Usually rule of thumb is about a day per inch, unless we get a lot of rain week after week.

Usually it's good to get some rain, since the trail is very sandy in some sections. The BVMBA site is your best bet most likely.

Thanks. I guess there was probably a lag on the update when I was passing through.
