    Jack Brooks Park

Houstonites: Is there a map of where the trails start here? I drove down a couple weeks ago and every trail head I could see from the road had a circle and slash through the bikes sign.

Never ridden there, but the best source of information is the GHORBA site (Jack Brooks Park | GHORBA).
    Start slow, then taper off.

AFT there is a map, there are a few ways to get onto the trails and in my opinion they're the best trails in the area by far.

TDhood posted a decent map that should help. If not shoot me a PM

Sounds good. I've gotta go out of town this weekend, but hopefully soon.

Follow the arrows! And if it's early in the morning you definitely want to lead the way... It's a one way trail, keeps it somewhat safe. Be aware/prepared for the mosquitoes and ants! The ants are harmless, but they are ALL OVER THE TRAIL and will cake to your bike! It is the most challenging course in Houston by far. Report back after your ride!

Was visiting the area and rode Jack Brooks today for the first time. AWESOME. Was seriously impressed with the level of difficulty. I bottomed out my 100mm fork on my hardtail twice I think. Fell once but nothing that I couldn't get up and brush the ants off and keep going. The ants were like something from another planet. I've never seen so many before. Mosquitos werent bad and there was no mud. There were several other riders down there that were very friendly and were glad to tell me a little about the park and what to watch out for etc. Overall Jack Brooks park 9 out of 10 will definitely go back and ride again if I'm in the area.
    Ride it into the ground.

Got down to ride this trail today. Fantastic trail. Fun with a lot of tech stuff. The climbing in The Beginning certainly gets your heart rate up in a hurry.
