Idea! FREERIDE FEST April 5&6 - Austin, TX Freeride512.com

Guys (& gals), you don't want to miss out on Freeride512's upcoming bike fest. I guarantee you there is NOTHING in TX that rivals the features that have been put up at the bike park there in the last 6 months.

Progressive drop zone, skinny farm, beginner to advanced gap lines, table lines, whale-tale gaps, wall rides and ladders are all ready to play on and yes, you can ride back up to the top(!).

I'll be out there this weekend and will try and grab some more, as most of these are old and don't showcase the new slopestyle, additional flow line, or skinny farm...

There are 3 wall rides on Twisted Sister...this is the second.
Camera is rotated a bit and I cannot straighten it without sacrificing some of the pic, so just know this isn't vertical.

Those wallrides look awesome. I'm not from Texas or very familiar with the environment, but just curious, how long does wood like that typically survive the elements?

    that looks so fantastic....

I live in Houston and am tempted to drive out; but I am kind of a beginner.

Any vids of the beginner section?

For beginner stuff, there is a beginner gap line, the dual slalom line and the table line. All the features on Twisted Sister are rollable, but you have to carry speed. There are also easy skinnies.
Always be wise and scope the features before you roll in.

Sorry, I got too busy with work today to get more vids up. I'm headed there tomorrow after work and will get something up just to show you what there is.

    Thanks!

Also the section with the wallrides and such - you can hike back up and hit again and again, and it will be a learning environment for many, as this will be the first weekend we have the park open for riding.
Just drop that outside foot and lean the bike over!

I'm a beginner too when it comes to drops and jumps. I'm really liking the progressive drop zone. Allows you to build confidence before moving up. How much does it cost to get in?

Kinda wish I had looked at this thread earlier, I could have hurt myself for free. Now it looks like I'll have to pay 20 bucks to hurt myself. Great.
