This stays up to date even dorba.org is down.

Just trying to work out a way so all trails can possibly be updated from one site when we have our recurring Dorba outages.

We have a facebook page for River Legacy as well. It doesn't see much use honestly.

Mainly us who work on the trail visit/know of it.

Most of us know of MTBR. Hopefully most will remember that someone is attempting to maintain a current as possible trail condition list over there as well.

Hopefully most will remember to check there when Dorba is down.

Stewards can help out by posting there or emailing me. No one has to or should feel obligated, but it would help a lot of riders out when we are having on and off rain with an on and off Dorba.

Good thing this is here it seems like Dorba is down every other day. I plan on hitting Big Cedar this afternoon and am guessing with no change in weather that there is no reason it would be closed.

It is good, but a shame that we have to rely on this thread instead of the official DORBA trail status page.

Ironic thing is updating those 24 trails would be much less work than trying to update the constant on/off of the Dorba site.

I wanted to come to the defense of DORBA... From what I understand, the current system is maintained by one volunteer. I remember seeing a post explaining that the membership had simply outgrown the site's capabilities and the amount of time to maintain the site exceeded what a volunteer could offer. DORBA recently put out a request for quotes to have the site commercially maintained.

Although it is frustrating the site has recently been down often, I'm not going to bash on DORBA. It's primarily a volunteer organization and I think they've done a great job so far.

I agree they are working on it and hopefully it will be stable soon. In the mean time I'm going to poke some fun at them

Sounds about right.
But no one is bashing Dorba.
The truth is it would be more work to keep up with the crashes than keep the trails updated.
We are attempting to work out a usable system so riders can have accurate and current information until a stable site/adminstrator can be found by the new Dorba board members.

My post may have come across as a bit harsh or accusatory. That was not my intention and I apologize if it did. I'm glad this didn't devolve into a "the dorba web page suckz!!1" thread.

And, I like the idea of keeping the trail conditions updated on here, also. I've met a couple of local MTB'ers that didn't even know about the DORBA website. Free publicity for an organization that deserves it.

I'm hoping NS is open. Why is DORBA site always down??????
