    Austin Emma Long city park

    Hey fellow Austinites. What type of tires do you use at city park? I'm planning I'm buying some new ones. Thinking about going with Maxxis ardent 29 x 2.25 or Panaracer Rampage kevlar 29 x 2.35

    Rubber tires work best.

    ;^)

    Hard to go wrong with Neve's - but anything with good traction should be good.

    I liked deeper tread than the SmallBlock8 just for better grip in the marbles - but that is just personal choice.

    LOL bear good one I've been using Surfas drifters around the area with good success especially at walnut with a minimum spinning out on the climbing, so anything with nobby's will be a marked improvement. I was considering Nobby niks, but the reviews say the durability is sketchy

    Kenda Nevegals and Bluegrooves. They both work front or rear, most run a BG up front and Nev on the rear, but I like the Nevs front and back - perfect.

    Liked SB8s for a while, at first they seemed like velcro on the rocks...but I I got fitter and stopped playing the easy gears I found broke loose way to easily when the torque was really applied. If you are a masher I think the SB8 is not a good choice, if you tend to spin more it might be a great chose. Just my opinion and feedback.

    I tried Maxxis Advantage and love the tread, but durability wise, they sucked. Even with Exo-whatever sidewall I torn them up too quickly. It's pretty solid as a front tire I suppose.

    I went with the Maxxis Ardent they work awesome as long as I keep the tire pressure under 40 PSI. By the end of the summer I plan on picking up a new wheelset and running tubeless With nobby niks

    What wheels are you currently running? Can they be converted to tubeless?

    Running Maxxis ardent I believe they can run tubless, but not sure if my entry level wtb wheel set will work with stans

    almost all rims can run stans. just wrap 1"gorilla tape over spoke nipples and cut a valve out of old tube.

    I have been running a Nobby Nic EVO PSC front and Crossmark rear but I just picked up a Hans Dampf EVO TSC that I am going to try on the front with the Nobby Nic on the rear. This will be my setup for my trip to Colorado next week but I might keep it when I come home.
