    ATTN: Texas Riders...Wilderness Medicine Class

Hey guys! I'm in San Marcos and do a bit of riding in the central Texas area and I know the mountain bike culture is pretty big here. We truly are blessed to have the great weather, friends and trails.

Anyways, I work at Texas State University in the Campus Recreation Department - Outdoor Recreation. We are offereing a Wilderness Medicine Course through Wilderness Medicine Institute/ NOLS. It's an 80 hr. advanced course recommended for outdoor enthusiests and rec. specialists. I took the course in Austin this January and was very impressed.

If anyone feels they need the training to practie advanced wilderness medicine you can sign up for it. It is May 13-22 at Texas State's Camp in Wimberly, Texas. Feel free to call Texas State Outdoor Center at 512-245-2004 and ask about it, or PM me with questions.

I had my WEMT for a couple of years and did a NOLS semester out of Driggs. Anyone that spends a decent amount of time outdoors would really benefit from these courses. The instructors are top notch and the information and skills you'll learn are invaluable.

Only around a month left to sign up for the course. Please call the number in the post if you're interested.
