At first I wanted to show this pic by posting a link and the forumsoftware would retrieve the pic and show it here. That didnt work.

I then uploaded the file directly from my pc which worked. I removed it after that but now it is still shown as "attached thumbnails". In the advanced editor, the pic is shown when I click on "attachments" . I can not find a button to delete the file somewhere?

HOW DO I REMOVE THE PIC COMPLETELY AGAIN FROM THE FORUM??

You can't remove a pic you've uploaded. Maybe a mod can?

If you want to have full control use something like photobucket. Imgur doesn't work here unfortunately.

What you are saying is, that I do NOT have full control over an image once shown here somehow??

I managed to delete the attachment in the advanced editor: Below the text field are the icons, below that "additional options", at "attachments".
It shows all attachments and also pics that I showed via a link with the option "retrieve file and reference locally". For those I havent found a way to delete them (yet).

If anybody knows how to do it please share.

Well I guess you can delete an uploaded pic then. I never looked into it and just assumed you couldn't.

    The more you know!

I experimented some more and when you are in the attachment manager, you can go on a pic, it will show a link that leads you to the page where you posted it. You can then edit the post and remove the picture from the posting, after that it appears as a thumbnail (as above) and THEN you can remove it completely by going into the file manager again and delete the thumbnail.

Pretty crappy procedure I have to say and I will simply not post or link any pics here anymore.
