    Northern Cal Tandem Teams

I know there must be a few of us out there. We tend to roam around a lot, from Ft. Ord to China Camp, to the East Bay. But favor the Santa Cruz Coast and South Bay, as we live in the S. Bay area. Our riding style is fairly easy going.

Lately I've been wanting to go to Downieville. A 15 mile long down hill, seems like it would be fun. Perhaps in late September, any other tandems interested?

Hope you hook up with some of those that post here.

Make sure your front fender stays on, and hope to see you in ???? for AORTA 2012.

Tell your stoker hello from South Florida.

Heh, just came back from a week's camping at China Camp SP. We really liked their trails, some good middle-ring stuff. Their switchbacks give IRP a run for the money, for sure, and would take much more practice.

At least we know who to call next time we go to the area.

J&L, Good chance we'll be up there around the 21st. Not sure if the shuttle service can handle the big bikes (doubt it), but we could wrangle it one way or another, especially with two teams. Keep you posted.

We'll simply make our own shuttle.

Aye! We'll have tons of cargo space.

The higher elevation starts and options should be very snow free by then. Super psyched to do Big Boulder, etc. Stopped for just one ride on the DH course recently on single bike and was awed at the quality. Super fun little town with a great vibe, great camping up on the river if that's yer bag. Low crowd factor then, I hear. A+ destination.

The 21st is Wed.; Are you thinking mid-week or weekend. Just checked with the stoker, and she has something booked on Saturday. But Sunday, or perhaps we just take a day off from work.

Seems like you picked the "hardest" of the 3 trails. It is probably beyond our capabilities. I was thinking of the easier ones.

Correction, J&L, we are in Yosemite on the 21st for a wedding and wanted to bolt to Dv after that. Probably looking to ride Friday thru Sunday.

We like all kinds of trails, so something suitable for all will be no consolation to us.

Didn't mean to cloud the Norcal teams thread with sidebar conversation.*

    NorCal rocks!

*BTW, teams J&L & She&I will be rocking D-ville Sunday, Sept 25th. Get a wild hare and join us. The Weasel and I plan on riding Fri and Sat also. Woot!
