    What's Happening with the 1x1?

Here I was, just getting ready to finally pull the trigger on a 1x1, when I find out that QBP has sold out of, and discontinued all the current 1x1 models. There is a "new" part number (with none available) that will be available in September. Is this a re-design? The top-tube lengths look different, at least according to the product description. Any information out there regarding the status of the venerable 1x1?

I think just a refresh, and sizing rename to the s,m,l,etc. that they have been doing with all their MTB bikes.

I'm hoping that Surly goes back to a cool color besides only offering black.

I'm really hoping that they'll go with a 44mm headtube. It's getting hard to find a decent (suspension) fork anymore that's not tapered.

The geo chart for the 1x1 on the Surly website has been incorrect for months. I did have an email conversation with Surly about it, Ben?, but failed to communicate fully where the errors are. The 1x1 has the exact same geo as the Troll does it not? The photo shows the updated version, the geo chart is for the last generation. When was the last time that the production 1x1 came with a 413mm fork?

No more canti mounts. Disc brakes or bust. Which is a bummer for me, I'll be looking for earlier and is that a fact Saddle Up that the Troll and 1x1 have near identical geometries? I thought the 1x1 could take fatter tires? (Which is why I'm debating between the two, since I may end up back in snow at some point).
