    Surly KM Full Guards

    Hello,

Scratching my head a bit fitting a rear full mudguard as there is no bar joining the stays together to attach the bottom end to it, stop the flapping about and rattling plus getting in the way of the front mech.

Have you guys got any ideas or bodges in place to show me?

    Thanks

G-Ted has some ideas, but his KM is single speed.

you could make a simple L bracket from some lexan. Find a good 90 degree bend for a mold then heat it in the oven bend it and drill some holes one for the fender one for the screw hole under the BB shell and you are set.

already have the bracket, that my friend is an amazing idea! originally, i was going to drill 1/4 the way in on the bend of the frame attach a topeak bar extender, spacer it out and keep it on tight that way, you're method saves me drilling holes in the actual guard!

I've had some success with other frames which lacked a chainstay bridge by just use a zip tie to attach the end of the fender to the seat tube.
    Fat, tired.
