Which one do you think behaved better on the trip, the Cross Check or the LHT?
    Thanks

My first bike build. Karate Monkey frame, fox f29, SLX drivetrain, BB7's and WTB I23 Wheelset. I have less than a grand in it and I love the versatility. I have been riding the snot out of it. From a 40 mile XC race last month, commuting to work everyday, a relaxing 3 day vacation on the KATY trail this week, and a 50 mile Gravel Grinder planned for next month.

You noticed!!! Yeah they were all I had at the time, and have since been replaced.
We are fixing to leave for the KATY trail today. Last night I had to do some redneck engineering to get the mount for the trailer attached the KM. Why did they put those flanges on the dropouts? I got it done by putting a bolt through one of the holes in the dropouts. It works and I still love my KM

    Bike Camping.

Got out last week for 4 days of bike camping in Eastern OR. High temps, long climbs, dirt roads and an overall great trip. The highlight was a 12 mile dirt climb up to Indian Rock Fire Lookout in the Malheur National Forest. I was a little "under-biked" on the LHT for the descent down from the lookout but otherwise my LHT performed flawlessly.

    Same old Troll, different version...

    Post pics of your Surly!!!-img_3022.jpg
I have retooled the Troll quite a few times, but I think the SS version is the most fun. SS paired with skinny 1.8's makes for a "lightweight" ride. Every that I think of adding gears again, I take a ride and immediately change my mind. Solid bike.

Found a cool Unimog on the edge of town. Whenever I'm riding this bike I just feel the urge to explore. Makes me feel like a kid again.
