Just got this built, no rides on it yet... hope it turns out to be as much fun as the Moonlander.

Interesting that the Ogre is festooned with attachment points, but you've gone for the beam rack and handlebar bags anyway.

I'm kind of torn whether to proceed with the Ogre or do up a 1x1, so it's inspiring to see that bikepacking doesn't demand full racks and panniers.

It looks like the monkey at least is using Revelate Design bags. They are using a completely "rackless" set up

Come on over and play in the BIKEPACKING FORUM for more inspiration.

Thanks it is fun, the fork performs well enough but I'm more of a rigid rider also. I may go all weird and put on a 29er rigid fork and build it into a 69er maybe a 69er+

    Pugs at DuPont.

Spent some time over the holiday weekend in NC at DuPont state forest. Almost to the top of Hickory Mountain. Good times.

I like that Blue KM with the Pacer decals. That's what Surly should put on all their bikes.

You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)

CommuterBoy - Why did you pick the Ogre for what it seems like a commuter bike? Why not a CC or LHT? Just curious. How is the drop bar set up on the Ogre? I am contemplating finally installing Midge bars on my KM.
