    New Neck Romancer color!

I so want one of these!

    From the same post:

"Also, we may have a couple new bikes coming out this year, I can't remember."

I'll speculate, a new bike that is a cross between the Instigator and 1x1.

I want the instigator re-introduced as an AM hardtail. Slacker headtube, lower BB, and 140mm fork option. Same frame spacing as before, so 650b compatible.

I'm seriously considering a fatbike as a winter commuter... and I have to say that I love the 2014 colors much more than the 2013 ones. So much for getting an old 2013 frame on discount. (sigh).

My (current) ideal fatbike: The new Pugs Blue, Husker Du tires, nice SRAM drivetrain... and it costs only $1200. Not gonna happen, alas.

My $$ would be on a disc check - although I'd wonder if they'd bother with a new model or just update the existing CC with disc tabs and leave removable rim brake posts so people could choose.

That would save having to stock so many frames/bikes.

I feel like people say every year is the year for the disc check. Not saying it wont happen or that it would not be a cool bike, but just not sure if it WILL happen.

If Surly wants to keep selling CCs they'll have to move to a disc model at some point. The bias against rim brakes grows every year [justified or not] and the other options for disc cyclocross bikes is growing as well so I think a Disc Check is inevitable.

Might not happen in 2014, but it seems like a more likely option than some of the other possibilities I've heard.

I think the essence of the XC is those semihorizontal dropouts and that is just not a good disc fit. Not that track ends are either but...

While I think a Disc Check would be interesting, I have to say that my Canti-brake CC works just fine. And everything I've read states that they don't want to have to beef up the fork to handle the stresses of Disc brakes.

Besides... when has Surly ever caved to what the people want?

Came across this on the Universal Cycles website. Nice color although it's not a Surly I'd consider adding to my stable.
