    Name my pugs!

Thought some of the Puggers on here would like my refreshed Pugs. She started out as the Thunderhead grey Pugs from a few years ago. After building it up with industrial black, grey and silver I rode it for 3 seasons. It was dirty, rusty and a bit grimy so I did a refresh on it. First I hacked off the v-brake posts and some cable guides here and there. Mainly just cleaned it up and made it unique. Then I got it coated in a Metallic Sweet Pea Green with a Starlight Clear topcoat. Then I picked up some new parts, a gold Chris King headset, a gold Salsa Liplock and a set of gold Jagwire cables. I cleaned everything and put it back together. Now she needs a new name. That's when I turn to my bike buddies online! Help me out please and name my Pugs!

This is the second bike that I know of in which you removed the brakes posts. Is a easy process?, Any pics along the way?

Well I only use hand tools when I do it, its a slow process but its harder for me to mess up! I first cut the bulk off with a hacksaw. Then I switch to the hand file and file the rest of it away until it is flush with the surface. Pretty easy. These Surly's are just begging for modification if you ask me. They come with everything I would possibly need then I just remove the things I don't.

I kinda like Vinnie Vegas, and Captain Mooseknuckle.

Why not just call it "Sweet Pea."? Isn't it like your favorite mistress?

That's a good one! She is an amazing bike and that's kinda old-fashioned and clever.

The green machine, like those big wheels from the 1970s! I always wanted one, but we never had enough money. I rode the crap outta my neighbor's though. Your Pugs is the right color scheme.
